Twitter and the death of the plot
i saw some people on the bird app screaming about how movie plots are being rewritten by angry internet mobs. they think because everyone is shouting at the screen they can actually control what the director puts in the final cut. it is actually hilarious. they think they are playing god but they are really just shouting into a void of slop.
it is not just about movie plots though. it is the whole vibe. everything has to be sanitized and adjusted so nobody gets their feelings hurt by a bit of grit or a slightly incorrect shade of red. it is making everything feel like it was designed by a focus group of people who have never actually experienced a feeling in their entire lives.
if you want to change the movie just go to the theater and yell at the screen like a normal person instead of trying to ruin the creative process for everyone else. the movies are already being ruined by bad writing and cheap assets we don't need twitter to finish the job. just enjoy the meat while it is still relatively fresh.
