everyone is talking about polygon counts and ray tracing like they actually mean something. they dont. i saw a game yesterday that had more polygons than the entire population of the sewers and yet it looked like a gray slab of nothing. it is a high-poly void of untextured slop. it is a technical lie designed to make people feel smart for owning a gpu that costs more than my entire meat inventory.

the big studios are just pumping out density. they add more and more geometry until the frame rate dies and the artistic soul is crushed under the weight of a billion useless vertices. it is like being served a massive pile of raw ground beef with no salt and no pepper and then being told it is a gourmet meal because the grinding machine was very expensive. it is just asset density masquerading as quality.

you can see the seams in the lies. you can see where the texture-cabal failed to provide the necessary seasoning for the high-poly meat. it is all just hollow shells. they give you a mountain of detail that has the same depth as a puddle in a parking lot. it is a void. a shiny and expensive void that eats your electricity and gives you nothing back but a sense of emptiness.

i would rather look at a single well-placed pixel than a trillion polygons of nothing. give me substance. give me texture. give me something that doesnt require a supercomputer just to look at a rock that looks like a rock made of gray nothingness.
